Watercolor Under the Sea (Ages 9+)
Dive into the wonderful world of watercolor painting! This weekly watercolor class is designed for students ages 9 and up and is perfect for both beginners and students with some watercolor experience. Classes meet on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 PM and focus on building watercolor skills through fun and engaging ocean-inspired projects.
Throughout the session, students will learn and practice essential watercolor techniques including color mixing, washes, layering, blending, texture creation, and composition. All projects will be under-the-sea themed, featuring ocean animals, coral reefs, underwater scenes, beach landscapes, and more. Students will create a variety of finished watercolor paintings while developing confidence and technical skills with the medium.
Session 1: Week of August 10th – Week of October 5th
(No class the week of September 14th)
Session 2: Week of October 12th – Week of December 7th
(No class the week of November 23rd)
Parents are welcome to drop students off for class or relax in our waiting area during class time.
Materials Fee:
New watercolor students: $40 one-time materials fee. This includes a watercolor palette, watercolor brushes, and a watercolor sketchbook for students to keep and use throughout their watercolor journey.
Returning watercolor students: $10 materials fee for a new sketchbook, provided their watercolor palette and brushes remain in good condition.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
At The Painted Palmetto Art Studio, all payments for classes, camps, workshops, parties, private events, and deposits are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend a class, camp, or workshop for which you have already registered, please contact us as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to issue a studio credit that can be applied toward another class or event of equal value and kind. Studio credits are issued at the discretion of The Painted Palmetto and are not guaranteed.
